Information About Arkhangelsk
Arkhangelsk is one of the oldest Russian cities. It was founded in 1584 on the bank of the Northern Dvina not far from the place where it flows into the White Sea. Before the foundation of St. Petersburg Arkhangelsk was the only "window" to Europe and the only seaport.
Situatied on the right bank of the Northern Dvina River and on several islands, the city amazes by its vast building scale and contrasts of its old and modern parts.
During the last years the city has changed greatly. A lot of many-storeyed buildings and public cultural centers were erected.
Arkhangelsk is one of the largest scientific and cultural centers in the European North. There are three higher educational institutions: Pomor University, Technical University and Medical University, many research institutes, concert halls and three theaters. Lots of tourists are attracted to the Museum of Regional Ethnography, the Art Museum and the Museum of Wooden Architecture.

About University
The Northern State Medical University (NSMU) in Arkhangelsk was founded in 1932 and reorganized in 2000. It is the university center for most of NW Russia; Arkhangelsk oblast, Volgoda oblast, Murmansk oblast, Nenets okrug, Komi republic and Karelia republic. We have the agreement with 6 governors of North – West Russia.
Nowadays about 5500 (8000 with PG) students study at the faculties. University buildings and clinics are provided with up-to-date equipment: computers, films and video aids, and other modern appliances. There are 55 departments, 27 of them are clinical based in the best clinics of the city.
NSMU have the educational and scientific contacts and student exchanges with universities of Scandinavia (Norway, Sweden, Finland), Central and Eastern Europe (Germany and Poland). From 1992 in the NSMU, foreign citizens are educated. First foreign students were citizens of India, Syria and Pakistan. Now, about 100 students from 17 foreign countries study in the NSMU. Before entering the University, these students complete the course of Russian and special subjects at the Preparatory Department. From 1992 till 2005, more than 250 persons graduated from the Preparatory Department. 95% of its graduates have entered the NSMU. English Medium is also available.
During clinical studies, foreign citizens that have graduated from the NSMU and from other higher educational institutions of Russia receive certificates of specialists in different fields of medicine.
The University is recognized by WHO (World Health Organization), ECFMG (USA), Medical Council of India (as per MCI Rules). NSMU is member of AMSE (Association of Medical Schools of Europe). After passing degree from NSMU students are eligible for USMLE (USA) or PLUB (UK) Exams.
All our graduates apply their knowledge and skills acquired at the University in the field of healthcare. All the NSMU graduates pass different certification exams when applying for jobs at clinical establishments of any country of the world - from Europe to Australia. The Northern Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences has been organized on the basis of the University. This head organization unites the capacity of medical science and co-ordinates medico-ecological research of Arkhangelsk and Murmansk regions, Nenets Area and Komi Republic.
Postgraduate Education
On the basis of the University in 1995 there was organized the Faculty of Postgraduate Education for medical specialists to acquire a higher qualification. The process of further training is organized in accordance with the programs including one-year primary specialization - clinical internship and a two-year professional training for further practice in hospital that is a key point when training highly experienced medical staff. Daghestan State Medical Academy
Daghestan State Medical Academy was founded in 1932 has covered a long and glorious path contributing in the development of culture medical sciences, higher medical education and health protection. During the year of its existence the academy has trained more than 25 thousand specialists, 100 doctors of sciences and 350 candidates of science. Many of its graduates have become well-known scientists, organizers of health protection and work in many regions of our country, and foreign countries.
Till 1965 there was only a therapeutic faculty at the academy, year by year the medical and scientific bases of the academy became widened.
At present academy has therapeutic, stomatological, pediatrics, faculty for foreign citizens, preparatory faculty for foreign students, faculty of postgraduate education and preparatory department for Russian Student. In 1997 academy received license for opening new faculties. Within academy there are central scientific research laboratory, 29 academicians of different academies, 74 doctors of medicine and 322 candidates of sciences work at 65 chairs of Academy, 3500 Student including 600 Foreigners. 120 clinical interns and 65 postgraduates study here.

Faculty of Internal Medicine 1932
It is the oldest faculty of the academy & was founded in 1932 year. The faculty already has prepared 25,000 doctors for the Republic, other regions of Russian Federation and many other foreign countries.
After 6 years of study a graduate of the academy gets the Degree of a general practitioner. In the first and second courses the students gain knowledge in such fundamental subject of medicine as are Anatomy, Physicology, Histology, Microbiology.
Students from their third course starts study in special departments like faculty of practical health medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology etc.
After completing this course and obtaining Degree of M.D. Students can pursue for their further students in special subjects and super specialities.
The Preparatory Faculty for Foreign Students 1987
This faculty of the academy was founded in 1987. The faculty already has trained 1600 Doctors from many countries like Syria, Dordan, Egypt, Palestine, India, Morocco, Pero (Latin-America) Pakistan, Srilanka, China Combodia etc.
After 6 or 5 years of study a graduate of the academy get the Degree of a General Practitioner or Stomatologist.
The classes of faculty are conducted according to tgenerally accepted curriculum of Health Ministry or Russia, WHO and the Medical Councils of Various Countries. This curriculum includes the study of epidemiological and geographical infections of the corresponding region, the course of lectures and practical classes ae conducted by highly qualified & experienced teachers, academicians, professors, candidates of sciences. Going on the learning of the Russian languag every student if he wants, after having gone through the special course, can get a certificate of an interpreter of the Russian language, that is practically the second educational benefit.
According to the estimation of the health protection institutions of Syria, Jordan, India, Nepal, Srilanka and others, all the graduates pass their examinations in their countries successfully, confirming a high level of reliability of the training of doctors in Daghestan State Medical Academy and it's Degrees.

Founded in 1983, Every year 35 professors and 55 assistants are working with 1600 doctors in countinual courses training of post graduate studies in following specialities anatomy, biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacy, Pathology, Dietology, Physiology, Cardiology, Radiology, Neurology, Surgery, Plastic & Microsurgery, ENT, General-Family Medicine, Skin & Venerology, Gynecology & Obstetrics, Traumotology, Opthalmology, Anesthesiology, Paediatrics, Stomatology, Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, Nephrology, Urology & Critical Care. There are many types of education in F.P.O. 1-year intern 2-5 years clinical ordinary.

About Clinics of DSMA
The clinical center of the Daghestan State Medical Academy includes the Departments of Cardiovascular Surgery, Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, two surgical departments, in which abdominal surgery and Endocrine Glands surgery are conducted with the help of endovideosurgery equipment, as well as two internal medicine departments and two Neurological Departments. Internal Medicine and Surgical Clinics possess high comfort words with modern design. There are 4 European - level reconstructed operation rooms. A diagnostic level is defined by the broad list of lab services and instrumental methods carried out on the up-to-date medical equipments.

The total number of University students including post-graduates exceeds 30,000. The University employs 8,500 professors, teachers and researchers. Moscow State University provides a wide range educational services and educational programmes. It has established modern educational programmes in all basic areas of research and education. Moscow State University offers a number of special programmes for groups of students from foreign universities. These programmes may last from one semester to one year. Students may choose to pass exams in the courses they take. Classes may be conducted in a foreign language.
Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry
Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry is the leading national institution to train medical specialists in the field of Dentistry. The University is ranked among top medical schools in the country. It was established more than 80 years ago as Moscow Medical Institute of Dentistry. The school is also known as The Third Moscow Medical Institute. In August 1999 it was granted by a status of a university and since this time is named Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry.
Now the University is educational establishment offering different undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate medical programmes. It serves as head organization in most national scientific and educational projects in the field of Dentistry. The University includes 5 faculties (Dentistry, General Medicine, Further training of dentists, Postgraduate education, Nursery), several clinics, hospitals and research institutes (including the Center of Clinical Diagnostics, Center of Cosmetic Surgery, Center of Rehabilitation, Children Center of Implantology, Clinical Center for High Technologies and some others), libraries, museums, and many other facilities. Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy
The I.M. Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy (MMA) is the oldest and the largest national medical higher educational institution. The MMA forefather was the medical faculty of Imperial Moscow University opened by efforts of the Great Russian scientist M.V. Lomonosov. The first six students began their studies at the faculty in 1758. In 1930, the medical faculty was separated from Moscow State University to become the 1st Moscow Medical Institute. In 1990, in order to create perfect elite education and deeper integrated research, the country's most powerful medical institute was reorganised as the Medical Academy.
Nowadays, the Academy places the leading role in the development of medical science and training, certification, and advanced training of medical, pharmaceutical and scientific personnel. The members of the staff of the Academy are engaged as experts and consultants of the World Health Organisation. According to UNESCO international rating the Moscow Medical Academy takes the second place after Rene Descartes Academy of Medical Sciences. MMA is arguably the best medical school in Russia. The MMA Diploma is recognized by WHO and the Medical Councils of many countries. The degrees of the Academy open the doors to European countries, the USA and Canada.
The Academy comprises: 11 faculties, 115 academic departments, scientific research and clinical centres, an editorial and publishing section, 18 clinics, a library, and other subdivisions. Moscow Medical Academy has 69 buildings for studies, classrooms and lecture halls, the clinical centre with 18 diverse clinics for 3080 patients, a large united scientific centre, several research institutes, the fundamental library, the laboratories, the botanical garden, and the stadium. The total area of the Academy training and laboratory premises exceeds 200,000 sq m or 25 sq m per student. There are four student hostels for 1,770 people. The Academy has been collaborating with 40 therapeutic-prophylactic and apothecary institutions, the research centres and institutes in Moscow. About 8000 students from Russia and foreign countries have studied annually in the Academy. They are trained in Medicine, Preventive Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, and Dentistry (since 2001).
The I.M. Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy has gained a considerable experience in the international students training. Since 1949 to date over 2000 specialists from 87 countries have been trained there. In 2001 about 900 foreign citizens were students of the Academy. Russian State Medical University
The school was founded in 1906 when classes a the newly founded the Medical Faculty of the Moscow High Women's Courses were started. In 1930 it was transformed into the 2nd Moscow State Medical Institute. On the 5th of November 1991, be the edict of the Government of the Russian Federation it was reorganized into the Moscow State Medical University. During its more than 90-year history, the University has made many changes as far as the school's structure, contents of curriculum and teaching trends are concerned, while maintaining high quality of training for medical students and doctors in the main academic disciplines.
Today Russian State Medical University is a complex of buildings designed for practical classes, lectures, laboratory studies, library, research work and auxiliary services, covering a total area of 1,119 thousand square meters and including a students' township "Medik", located near the study buildings. During the first two years the University students acquire knowledge in various fundamental medical subject: anatomy, physiology, histology, biochemistry, microbiology, etc. Since the Third academic year they start their training at special (clinical) departments of therapy, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, oncology, infectious diseases, endocrinology, ophthalmology, skin diseases etc.
The course of studies at the Faculty of Pediatrics lasts six years. First, students start learning medico-biological subjects, and senior students take up propedeutics of childrens' diseases, pediatric surgery, childrens' infectious and other diseases at special departments, mastering the skills of pediatric specialities. The graduates start their professional careers as doctor-pediatricians and get specialized in some specific fields on having completed the internship or special clinical course.
The duration of studies at the Preventive Medicine faculty is 6 year. The curriculum is similar to the General Medicine Faculty. Besides, The students take studies on epidemiology and various hygienic subjects. The graduates start working as doctors at sanitary-epidemiologic institutions, as practical epidemiologists, occupational pathologists, or continue research into hygiene and epidemiology at different Research centres.
The first and second year students stydy medico-biological and medical subjects, next they master their would-be profession at the following departments of Dentistry: propedeutical, restorative, surgical, prosthetics and pediatric dentistry. Throughout the five year of training the graduates are awarded with diplomas of qualified dentists and after completing the chosen specialization course (internship or special clinical courses) they acquire the speciality of dental therapist, surgeons or orthopedists.
The Pharmaceutical Faculty graduates obtain the qualification of pharmacists and can work at chemists' shops, various research centres or in pharmacy industry. Throughout their first three years at the University, the students of this faculty study fundamental medical subjects. During the fourth and fifth academic years they specialize in pharmacy.
To enter the Nursing Faculty one should have a secondary medical education certificate. The University graduates who has specialized in nursing are awarded with diplomas of nursebechelors and can work as head nurses of paramedical work organizers.
The Preparatory Faculty has the license of Ukrainian Ministry of Education and Science that allow to prepare foreign students for the prediploma preparation for the further studies in the Universities of Ukraine and CIS.
During 14 years of its existence Preparatory Faculty has prepared nearly 1000 foreign students for medical and other Universities of Ukraine.

Till 1939 Grodno was a part of Poland after that it became Belarussian city. Grodno State Medical University
The Grodno State Medical University was founded in 1958. It is a recognised government-educational, diagnostic and scientific center of medical science in Republic of Belarus. At present 50 doctors of science and rofessors,108 assistant professors, 209 candidates of Sciences are employed at the university.
GSMU cooperates with medical educational and research centers in Poland (Warsawa, Khrakow, Poznan, Wroclaw, Bialystok, Germany, Russia-Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tver) and other places. On Completion of language course they star medical studies in Russian language, along with Belarussian students.
English Medium Medical Faculty
Study of M.D. Physician course in english language was started in 2002 by the joint efforts of GSMU and Global Education Service More than 100 indian students are already studying in this faculty. International scientists and professors come to GSMU to deliver lectures. The students directly start studying in first year of M.D. Physician course without doing russian language The programme and syllabus of MBBS is same for both the languages but in english medium they save one year all the academic classes are conducted in english medium
Postgraduate Education
Overseas students continue their studies at Clinical Residency or Post graduate Training Course on a very wide range of specialties (surgery, pediatrics, cardiology, ophthalmology, urology, oncology, orthopedics and traumatology, otolaryngology, and radiology). The study at the Clinical Residency lasts for 2-4 years. Maximum of 3 residents can be enrolled at the same time in one department.

University has well equipped library facility all the books are provided by library on compulsory basis free of charge. It has central networking of library data base and 24 hours Internet connection allowing students quick access to World Wide Web.
Hostel
There are 4 hostels on walkable distance from the university .
Hostels can accommodate 1840 students. Two of the hostels are flat type i.e. With attached bath room, toilet and kitchen. The hostels are centrally heated ( air-conditioned). Hostels are fully furnished. The basic system is two students in one room. Separate arrangements for boys and girls. Students can get Indian food at the canteen of the hostel and foreign TV channels (Hindi, Tamil etc.) are also available. All the hostels are well guarded with police security. Bed Linen is changed once in a week and hostel is cleaned once everyday. Students also have to strictly follow the hostel rules and regulations.
Sports & Cultural Activities
The cultural center organises cultural programs every year in which students of different countries take part. About Medical University
Vitebsk State Medical University was founded in November 1934. Situated in the ceter of the city of Vitebsk, University is one of the biggest establishements. of the city. It has five hostels out of which two hostels are for foreign students only.
The University is a Govt. Establishement and comes under the Ministry of health of Republic of Belarus and is recognized by WHO, European Union, US, UK. The Great Patriotic War broke the work of the Institute for several years. Many teachers and students participated in the defence of the country. The city and the Institute were almost in ruins.
The rebuilding of the Institute was started in 1946. Years passed. Medical Institute was expanding, its clinical base was improving. The number of highly qualified specialists, professors and scientific workers was growing. In 1959, the Pharmaceutical Faculty was opened along with the Medical Faculty. A year later the Institute began to train specialists in the postgraduate study courses. In 1963 the Central Scientific Research Laboratory was opened in order to train scientists and highly qualified lecturers. During the last decades the Institute was developing very intensively. In 1984 the Faculty for Advanced Specialization in General medicine was established.
In October 1993 the Ministry of public Health of the Republic of Belarus resolved to transfer the Faculty for Advanced Specialization in Farmacy to Vitebsk Medical Institute. In 1997 the Preliminary Training Faculty was established. Since september 1981 Vitebsk State Medical Institute Started to train the overseas students at Preliminary Training, Medical and Pharmaceutical Faculties. The number of foreign students was increasing and in 1997 the Faculty for Overseas students Training was opened. For the large merits in training physicians for public health of Asia, Africa, Near East and Latin America, Vitebsk State Medical Institute was awarded with the Medal of Peoples’ Friendship by the presidum of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR. In the beginning of 1999, according to the Republic of Belarus Ministry of education Vitebsk State Medical Institute was accredited to a University status. The University was headed by famous scientists and physicians, talented organizes of public health :

Since 19997 the Rector of Vitebsk State Medical University is a Corresponding member of Belarus Academy of Medicine Professor A.N. Kosinets. The Stomatological and higher Medical School Pedagogic and Psyshology Faculties were established in 2001. In accordance with the opening in 2001 of the Advanced Training Courses in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics, Oncology, Pediatrics, Clinical Immunology and Allergology the Faculty for Specialization was renamed into the Postgraduate Medical and Pharmaceutical Faculty. At present there are 7 Faculties, 53 Departments, Central Scientific Research Laboratory, Scientific Medical Informational Department, Educational and Methodical Informational Center and the Library, Polygraphic Editing and Publishing Center, Sport gym and Stadium. The Medical, the Stomatological and the Pharmaceutical faculties are training practitioners and pharmaceutists on speciality “Medicine”, “Stomatology” and “Pharmacy”. The top graduates are studying at clinical residency. At the miment more then 4 thousand of students are studying at the University. There are 396 lecturers of whom 58 are professors and 180 Associate Professors. There are 13 scientific academic schools at the University both on medical-biological, clinical and pharmaceutical disciplines which have introduced a substantial contribution to the development of a modern medical sciences and the improvement of medical education in the Republic of Belarus and the countries of the former USSR.
This society of young scientists is one of the famous in Belarus and the nearest countries. The magazines “Surgery News” and “Pharmacy News”, “Immunology”, “VGMU News”, “Motherhood and Childhood Protection”, the regular newspaper “Medvuzovets” are published by the University.
The overseas students are studying at the University since 1981. For this period of time more then 900 specialists graduated from Vitebsk State Medical University. They successfully work in different institutions, public health, clinics of 109 countries of the world. The overseas postgraduates continue to study at the clinical residency and research postgraduate training courses, 11 of them defended their thesis. There are 4 special Scientific Boards of the doctors and candidates’ thesis defence on different specialties (Parasitology, Helminthology; Drugs Technology and Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmacognosy; Internal surgery and Gastroenterology, Clinical Immunology and Allergology). Nowadays the University scientists perform researches on 40 perspective medical projects.
There are 45 scientific study groups of students. The society of young scientists is one of the famous in Belarus and the nearest countries. According to the Republic competition of students’ research works in 2001, 40 authors were awarded the first category, 30 authors-the second, 10 authors- the third category. 22 students’ works were honoured with the Grant of the President of the Republic of Belarus A.G.Lukashenko.
The University develops different contacts in the realm of medical education and physicians training, scientific research, methodical and informational exchange with many institutions of Russian Federation and other countries. Republic centers “Infection in Surgery” Minimal Invasive Surgery, Central Scientific Research Laboratory of the University are well known abroad.
The University is the organizer of the international academic meetings. which stimulate active participation of all the scientists and lectures of the University in the activity of professional international societies and associations. Some of the well-known lecturers and scientists have been elected to the foreign Scientific Academies.
There is a problem-based teaching, integration in the studying of the theoretical and clinical disciplines at the University. 1) The new Mexico-U.S. Medical School that I mentioned has been established in 2006 and has the following accreditations:
• Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER) - This formal listing and the assignment of a code enables students to register for and take the USMLE Step 1, Step 2, and Step 3 examinations through the ECFMG - the Educational Committee for Foreign Medical Graduates. This organization also certifies foreign medical graduates for participation in the National Residency Match Program (NRMP) in U.S.
• International Medical Education Directory (IMED) - IMED is the arm of FAIMER that provides the formal listing of those medical schools who are accredited by the appropriate government agency in the country where the medical school is located.
• Recognition of the Mexican Government (SEP)
2) This school has a 4 year Medical Program out of which 2 years will be in Mexico and the remaining 2 years in U.S. / Mexico. The first 2 years will be the Basic Sciences program and the other 2 years will be the Clinical Sciences program.
3) The last 2 years of Clinical Rotations would be taught in U.S. in accredited teaching hospitals. Clinical Rotations are also available in Mexico, if the student chooses to pursue his/her clinical studies in Mexico.
4) Eligibility criteria for admission to this school is that students should have completed 2 years (including labs) course study in Biology, Physics and Chemistry in their 10+2 classes.
5) The 4 year medical program offered by this Medical School has a USMLE oriented curriculum so that students are well prepared to take their steps without a problem. The students appear for step 1 after the completion of their Basic Sciences and then clear step 2 by the time they complete their Clinical Rotations. The School's faculty comprises of a U.S. Dean and other experienced and well-qualified U.S. Doctors.
6) The overall application processing time for prospective student applications is about 3-4 weeks from the time of receipt of applications. Acceptance letters for eligible students will be mailed immediately after the applications are processed.
7) The overall tuition fee for the 4 year program is $22,000. On the school's website, the tuition is listed as $26,000 but for International students who would go through us would receive a scholarship $4000 for the entire program
8) Visa approvals for Mexico is guaranteed as the University officials have a very good relationship with Mexican Consulate diplomats. Visa to U.S. for the last 2 years of the program has not been a problem either so far for any of their foreign students. But in any case of visa denial for U.S., students can reapply for the visa again while pursuing their clinical studies in Mexico.

March).The average temperature ranges from 9-25 Celsius with more than
2,000 hours of sunshine in a year. Rainfall can occur any time of the year but tends to be higher in winter. Snow regularly falls in the mountains but seldom in the populated areas around the coast. The New Zealand climate is variable all year being neither very cold nor very hot. Most New Zealand homes do not have central heating so you will need to bring some warmer clothes to wear at home. Jackets, coats and layered clothing are common. Even indoors a warm jersey may be needed.

ISM was established on a special resolution of the Kyrgyz Government to cover education markets in Europe, Asia and Africa and train doctors in line with up-to-date programs that meet international training standards and requirements in different regions of the world.
Kyrgyz Government's resolution # 60 dated February 5, 2004 introduced ISM into IUK, which is one of Kyrgyz Republic top universities highly rated for its substantial experience in training of foreign citizens. 5. Collect your boarding pass, passport, air ticket, baggage coupon and receipt of the paid excess baggage.
6. You will get Immigration form from the counter, fill it and then take it to immigration counter.
7. After immigration clearance, go to customs counter for stamping your boarding pass.
8. Now proceed to Gate No. mentioned on boarding pass and wait at waiting lounge till you get further instructions for boarding the aircraft. 9- After boarding aircraft, sit on your allotted seat.
